Yes. Each club will have autonomy over which players are nominated for teams and who participates in second games. If a club decides it is safe and does not affect another player’s opportunity, the association will support the club’s decision.
All clubs will host and set training times depending on court availability. Most sessions will be afternoon/evening in locations aligned with the clubs home address.
Our association runs on the generosity and participation of volunteers and we love to see parents and older siblings getting involved in coaching as well as past players and those with a passion for coaching and developing the next generation. All our clubs have a wealth of coaching wisdom and experience and provide all levels of support to their coaching groups.

All coaches over the age of 18 must hold a valid Blue Card and be approved for working with children.
We are always seeking to build our referee pool and game official database so no matter what your level of experience is, we would love you to get involved! We have a referee coordinator and many referee educators who mentor and assist junior referees.

Yes. All players are covered under Association insurance that has been tested against other associations and sporting codes.
Each club will facilitate all players to find the best team possible and clubs will assist in placing friends together where possible. Schools are also encouraged to assist mates to enter in a similar manner too.
We are committed to fostering an equitable and competitive environment. We do not support stacked teams and rely on clubs to work together in the spirit of fairness. As we grow, we will implement a point system to help ensure that no team is overly dominant and that every team has a balanced and competitive experience.
We are not yet affiliated with Basketball Queensland (BQ), which means participants can register and trial with other associations. We do however aim to join Junior Representative pathways soon and are actively working towards this. In the meantime, our association will offer opportunities through club competitions, including selection for All-Star teams, additional training sessions, and higher-level games.
We are committed to supporting all players and ensuring they have access to the best development opportunities.
No. As much as we would love to build local clubs filled with local members – we understand the value of community sport is participating with your mates. We aim to provide really great experiences at all clubs and hope that this is fostered by all families.
We are not currently affiliated with Basketball Queensland but we are actively working towards this. This will not affect your playing experience in any way but means that we are currently unable to offer rep pathways for players who are interested in competing at this higher level.
